Years keep passing through and if it wasn’t obvious enough, we get no younger. We’ve lost interest, hopes, and dreams as time flies away and we have to keep going on with life –that mess of a life that was spiced with some silliness to make it bearable. Well, most of us. I got too personal there. Have we lost the touch? Are we too old for this? Not quite yet I guess, we’re just too busy, and we can’t keep two-timing forever. We need the money.

During this period of silence in which the closest thing to prose I wrote were sporadic work emails, I reached a point where I just felt like I was living an eternal Monday. I’m sure we all have this feeling at one moment, but I didn’t have a way to let that out. Fortunately, the always awesome Tuberz Mcgee found the words, the chords, and the perfect rhythm to catalyze those emotions into his new album! So come with me and let’s take a look over ‘Tuberz McGee and the Sudden Realisation that his Life is an Endless 9-5 Grind’.

Siete años son mucho tiempo

Con frecuencia, y al pasar de los años, tendemos a romantizar experiencias pasadas. La calle en la que jugábamos, los programas que veíamos, los alimentos que comíamos, los lugares que visitábamos; cosas que, de alguna manera, parecen mejores en nuestros recuerdos. «Todo tiempo pasado fue mejor», reza el adagio popular, y algo habrá de cierto en tales palabras. Sin embargo, la sobreexplotación de este recurso en la cultura popular que, cada vez con más frecuencia, satura nuestras mentes con una idealización casi obsesiva del antaño resulta francamente chocante para un humilde servidor.

Aunque el análisis de ese fenómeno está fuera de los límites que competen directamente a este artículo en particular, he de admitir que últimamente he sido presa de pensamientos intrusivos y la añoranza a una era que, aunque presente en mi corazón, cada día se vuelve más difusa en mis recuerdos.

El día de hoy quiero volver a un momento especial, uno por el que, en su momento, derrame lágrimas de pesar al sentirlo arrebatado de mí. Un momento que definió el rumbo de mis esfuerzos creativos y forjó una parte de lo que soy ahora. Así que, por favor, acompáñame a dar un vistazo a este pedacito de mi vida.

The first half of this year was full of extraordinary music releases, and the name that signs this one is a synonym of quality. For those of you that may not be familiar with Chroma’s work, the huge range of styles and emotions he’s capable to express through music have not only been translated into an astonishing combination of techniques, but also into a distinctive fusion of sounds and an incomparable ability to tell stories. Of course, all of this in the form a huge catalog of compositions. All the tracks contained in this album are charged with a strong sense of consistency and are sharpened enough to work along with each other or on its own. So let’s take a look over Chroma’s first full-length album: ‘愛を喜ぶ街’ (Ai wo Yorokobu no Machi – ‘The Town that Enjoys Love’), released through not records.

En síntesis: tempo y grooves en DefleMask

Uno de los parámetros básicos que causan más conflicto al momento de iniciarse en el uso de DefleMask es el de la configuración de tempo. Aunque algunos podrían pensar que es un asunto de sentido común, la realidad es que tiene matices un tanto esotéricos; o en un primer momento así pareciera. Aunque el manual ofrece una explicación, esta profundiza poco en el ajuste preciso de esta función. Hoy compartiré lo que sé al respecto para que puedas comprender un poco mejor esta característica. Claro está que siempre se puede hacer un uso más sofisticado mediante la aplicación combinada de técnicas (como el uso de los comandos 9 y D); pero hoy nos centraremos en lo básico. ¡Vamos a ello!
